Award-winning local girl heads up newest office as network grows

Opening an office in the booming tourist and wine region of Yarra Glen in Victoria is a logical business move for the owners of the nearby Barry Plant Croydon office.

And Sarah Savio, who will take the lead as the Yarra Glen branch manager, is the natural choice for the role, according to co-owners Matt Jinks and James Brougham of Barry Plant Croydon.

An award-winning sales agent and champion auctioneer, Ms Savio has built a significant market share in the Yarra Valley where she grew up.

The daughter of local horse trainers, she loves the Yarra Valley and has purchased her own properties in the area.

“Sarah’s real estate success has been built on providing a level of service that is just extraordinary,” Mr Jinks says.

“In the 23 years I’ve been in real estate, I have genuinely never seen anyone deliver the amount of service that she does.”

She has built up her own all-female team and they are hyper-focused on doing everything possible for their clients, Mr Jinks notes.

“Whether that’s helping style a home, holding their hand when the pressure is on, or just turning up with flowers to brighten someone’s day, they all genuinely care and continually demonstrate that. The clients love her,” he adds.

As for Ms Savio, she can’t wait to bring her real estate brand to her hometown.

“What my team and I will bring to Yarra Glen and surrounding areas is a level of real estate they haven’t experienced before,” she says.

“Not only are we highly skilled, but we have the best technology tools and data at our fingertips.”

An understanding of how to use cost-effective marketing, such as social media, to bring in buyers from all over the country enhances their skill set.

Ms Savio adds that being part of the Barry Plant Group means that she can leverage the strength of the network to get the best outcomes for her clients.

The Yarra Valley area offers a mix of residential housing around the town centre, which flows out to acreages with stunning lifestyle homes. The prices can range from the mid-$800,000s to $4 million.

The market in the area has boomed on the back of the COVID-19 pandemic, with people chasing their treechange dream within a reasonable commute to the city.

New Barry Plant CEO Lisa Pennell is thrilled to see Ms Savio take on the role of managing the latest Barry Plant office, which is located at 22 Bell Street, Yarra Glen.

“Sarah is a great example of the Barry Plant commitment to developing people within our group and providing them with the training, mentoring and opportunities they need to succeed,” Ms Pennell says.

“She’s driven, emotionally intelligent, caring and capable, which is everything that will make this office successful.”

Ms Pennell is passionate about empowering young women on their leadership journey.

She is confident that Ms Savio will be a success in her role and join the ever-increasing number of Barry Plant female high achievers.
