The clock is ticking on 2026
Regular readers of these weekly Market Updates will already be aware that our team at Barry Plant Thomastown has been achieving a steady stream of pleasing sales results for our vendors over the past few months.
These results have come about despite the negativity we have been seeing in many parts of the media of late. However, as we regularly remind our clients, so many people who talk about “the property market” are overlooking the fact that there are many different markets operating at the same time…not just one market.
For example, there are different markets in different suburbs…even those right next door to each other…just as there are different markets for distinct types of properties in the same suburb. So local residents should not be surprised that there is currently solid buyer demand for properties in Thomastown, Lalor, and adjoining areas, as our results are proving. If you’d like details, you can view the details of what’s been happening by visiting THIS SUMMARY OF RECENT SALES RESULTS.
The recent sale of the four-bedroom terrace in Waterview Drive, Mernda (pictured) is a prime example. The combination of a low maintenance lifestyle and contemporary styling proved popular with a variety of audiences, from first home buyers to investors, resulting in an excellent sale for our vendors.
The important thing to remember, as we have mentioned in a couple of RECENT POSTS, is that time is becoming a key factor for prospective sellers. There are now just five or so weeks
left in the Spring of 2026, and we have a state election scheduled for the end of November which is bound to disrupt people’s focus as we head into Summer.
So, the sooner you make the decision to get your property on the market, (if that’s what you want to do), the more you’ll be able to take advantage of the favourable selling conditions we are currently experiencing.
Remember, if you’d like to discuss your options, or get some experienced and objective advice, you can have a chat with our team at Barry Plant Thomastown by giving us a call on 9466 3233.
Cheers,
Con Constantinou
