Coming to Australia in 2007 to further his studies, Sween fell in love with Melbourne and now calls it home. After completing his studies, and looking for the right fit, Sween began working with Citi Bank. Moving forward, he also worked in retail for many years. He now resides in the Northern suburbs, having lived here for more than 15 years, and knowing the area intimately.
It was after gaining experience in the business sector, without real satisfaction, that Sween realized that his passion was dealing with people. It was at this point Real Estate came to the fore.
His professional approach, combined with his warm and friendly nature, and a desire to have a positive impact on people´s lives, he realized, gave him all the qualities required in a good Real Estate Agent. Following encouragement from family and close friends, Sween completed the Real Estate Agents Representatives course and set about forgoing a career in the industry.
After joining Barry Plant Craigieburn, Sween knew from day one he had made the right decision. ‘I can make the most of all the skills I have learned from all aspects of my life, and make a positive impact on my clients’ lives, which gives me a great deal of personal satisfaction’, Sween says with pride. ‘Personable, approachable, diligent, and professional, whilst possessing excellent communication skills’, is how Sween is described by those who have worked closely with him.
Together with extra language skills, being fluent in Hindi and Punjabi, Sween is certainly an asset to the company, and if a client is dealing with Sween, they can rest assured they are in good hands. Efficiency in different languages is an invaluable asset in communication, the finer points of the process of buying and selling are often neglected by others when dealing with clients from non-English speaking backgrounds or familiar with their obligations when entering contracts.
Outside of work, Sween enjoys his interactions with friends, relatives, and community members. On the weekend you can find him walking, chatting, or enjoying a cup of coffee at the many excellent cafes around Melbourne. Sween brings life experience, a personable approach, cultural understanding and highly developed interpersonal skills to a job and field he loves.
