$14.3 Million sold in 100% auction success story
What an amazing day of auction success for our team in Melbourne’s west, and for our clients! Not only did our combined offices in the West sell 21 out of 21 auctions today, but these produced around $14.3 million worth of property sales in the space of just a few hours. That’s a lot of very happy vendors celebrating successful sales this evening!
Among the today’s 100% auction success story were:
A comfortable 3-bedroom family home on Oakwood Road found new owners after a strong mid-week sale was completed at $625,000.
A single-level 3-bedroom home located opposite the park in Franklin Place attracted a mix of first home buyers, investors and downsizers. This property was ‘on the market’ from the opening bid and exceeded our ecstatic vendor’s reserve price by around $85,000 when it sold for $575,000.
Peacefully tucked away in Glenview Court, a well presented 3-bedroom home attracted a big crowd to watch a spirited bidding duel produce an excellent sale at $637,000.
A corner block with main road exposure proved an attractive combination in a 3-bedroom home on Sunshine Avenue today. Competition took the bidding beyond our happy vendor’s reserve, reaching $572,000.
It was a massive day for our team in St Albans, with six separate auctions of 3-bedroom houses being conducted in the space of four hours, and all six of them achieving strong sales!
The prices achieved ranged from $570,000 to $800,000, with most of these sales finishing well above the vendors’ reserve prices…in some cases as more than 10% above their expectations. Clearly, there is no shortage of motivated buyers for property in this area right now!
We also negotiated a strong mid-week sale on a 3-bedroom unit on Main Road West for $400,000.
Our Caroline Springs team auctioned a character-filled 4-bedroom home in Nepean Way today, just around the corner from Taylors Hill Primary School. The result was a pleasing sale at $710,000.
A peaceful court location and period-influenced architecture were key ingredients in the appeal of a 4-bedroom home in Plenty Close, a short walk from Overnewton College. This one proved so appealing, in fact, that a strong mid-week offer of $735,000 saw the sold sticker going up a few days before the auction.
Meanwhile, over in Salvana Court, an elegant two-storey 4-bedroom home with impressive entertaining space sold for a very satisfying $751,000.
With the AFL Grand Final set to occupy many people’s minds next weekend, this coming week will be an ideal time for astute vendors to get their properties on the market so that they can hit the ground running as soon as the football is finished for 2017
