Barry Plant Norwood located just 4km east of Adelaide’s CBD has just been named the South Australian winner for the ‘Real Estate Services’ section of the 2021 Australian Achiever Awards for Excellence in Customer Service. The office achieved an outstanding 98.62% overall customer satisfaction rating.
The Australian Achiever Awards have been running for over two decades and are a way to give businesses across the nation an unbiased and quantifiable way to be recognised for their remarkable customer service commitment. The awards give small to medium-sized businesses that truly provide good customer service, a responsible and credible way to showcase their commitment.
“We pay close attention to what our customers need and are always there to help and provide advice to them, no matter the situation,” said Linda Baker, Director of Barry Plant Norwood. “We believe that having the right information means people can make informed choices. Our customers were saying they needed to know what was happening in their real estate market and so we send out monthly updates on how the market in travelling. We recognise that selling your greatest asset is probably incredibly nerve-wracking and we work to ensure that the process is smooth and hassle-free. We listen closely to their specific needs and work hard to meet them. Communication is key, and getting on top of any issues immediately.”
The Australian Achiever Awards have over 20 categories across a range of industries in 2021, from real estate to travel and tourism, childcare, security, finance, employment, and building.
Barry Plant Norwood have always had a focus on customers, as well as their community as a whole. From raising over $30,000 for bushfires in early 2020 to other community fundraisers throughout the year, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day competitions, and a Make Your Own Show competition (in lieu of the Royal Adelaide Show being cancelled this year), the office not only engages with the community but tries to provide real value.
Barry Plant Norwood are also very proactive when it comes to health and safety during this pandemic. “All our sales and property management staff have a COVID-19 pack in their boot with sanitiser, gloves, masks, and wipes, so every time we go to an open for inspection we have plenty of supplies for those who may not have brought it for themselves,” said Linda Baker. “Depending on the level of restrictions, we also do a lot of private viewings, not just open for inspections. It’s really hard work for the agents, but it’s so reassuring for the owners and buyers. Again, just another example of us putting the customer front and centre in all of our actions.”
