Barry Plant rolls out the red carpet experience in Broadford

The Barry Plant Group now has the Mitchell Shire covered following the opening of the 83rd Barry Plant office at Broadford last week. Director Simon Best, who also runs the neighbouring Kilmore and Wallan offices said it made sense to buy and re-brand an existing office in Broadford when the opportunity presented itself recently.

“We now have offices in the three major towns in the Mitchell Shire and we have had our eye on Broadford for some time now as it is a really exciting area as far as real estate goes,” Simon said. “Broadford is 88 kilometres from the CBD and is becoming an increasingly popular area for commuters and young families looking for affordable housing.”

Simon said the Broadford office will manage a good mix of sales of both rural properties and housing on new estates, along with some commercial property work and a busy residential rental division.

“The property management department at the Broadford office is outstanding and they look after a substantial rent-role which we are looking forward to increasing considerably.”

The six staff members of the existing office which had been operating in Broadford for almost 20 years, have been re-employed by the Barry Plant Group and Simon said there is a definite new energy in the sales team.

“We have already sold two properties in our first week of opening, so we have really hit the ground running,” he said.

Mike McCarthy, Barry Plant Group CEO said he expects the Broadford office to perform exceptionally well.

“We’re delighted that Barry Plant is able to provide even greater service to the Mitchell Shire through our new Broadford office. Simon and his team have done an outstanding job from their existing offices in Wallan and Kilmore and I’m sure that will be continued from their new location.”
