This has resulted in a large number of properties being sold prior to their scheduled auction date. This weekend was a classic example, with four of our six scheduled auctions achieving excellent sales results well before the auction flag was due to go up.
Some of these results included:
Caroline Springs: Meyers Lane. Combining sleek contemporary styling and a high degree of convenience, this four-bedroom townhouse was snapped up well before this week’s scheduled auction, with the SOLD sign going up at $656,000.
Caroline Springs: Scarvell Crescent. Originally scheduled for auction next week, this good looking three-bedroom home (pictured) attracted such strong interest that we moved the auction forward by a week. After an opening bid of $500,000, a total of seven bidders placed 37 bids before the gavel fell at a remarkable $696,000, which was more than 10% above our ecstatic vendors’ reserve!
Hillside: Lorraine Court. Another of this week’s scheduled auctions which achieved a result early, this well-renovated three-bedroom townhouse near Parkwood Green Primary School sold for $505,000.
Hillside: Golden Way. As we mentioned last week, this four-bedroom home in Bellevue Hill Estate attracted immediate interest as soon as it hit the market, selling for over $660,000 in the first week of its campaign.
St Albans: Magnolia Street. The strongest interest in this three-bedroom home, just around the corner from the St Albans Meadows Primary School, came from a mix of first home buyers and investors. It didn’t take long for a strong mid-week sale to be negotiated at $570,000.
Taylors Lakes: Lynne Court. This beautiful heritage-inspired four-bedroom home, located within strolling distance of Watergardens, was another to enjoy an early conclusion to its proposed auction campaign, selling for a very satisfying $840,000.
Results like these provide further confirmation of the fact that this really is a great time to be in the market if you are selling in the north-west.
