The good news for anyone with an interest in the property market in the south-east is that not only did the year finish on a high note, (exceeding the expectations of most observers), but the outlook for the start of 2021 seems particularly positive as well.
In fact, buyer activity in our area continued right up until the office closed for a short break over the festive season, and given the high number of buyers who were not able to secure their next home in December, we are expecting the property market next week to pick up where it left off a few weeks ago, which will provide an exciting opportunity for anyone keen to sell in 2021.
Here’s an outline of some of our results from the pre-Christmas period:
Scorchin Drive: The current incentives for new home builders certainly added to the appeal of this 560sqm homesite in Cranbourne South’s popular Brompton Estate. The SOLD sign went up just prior to Christmas at a very satisfying $395,000.
Hilltop Mews. A mix of first-time buyers and downsizers showed interest in this low maintenance three-bedroom home before the contracts were inked at $494,000.
Sassafras Drive. Conveniently positioned for easy access to shops and parks, this renovated four-bedroom home sold for $610,500.
Beech Street. A leafy residential neighbourhood made an attractive setting for a modern single-level four-bedroom home, with immediate interest seeing this one sold for $762,000.
Ince Court. The extra family lifestyle benefits of a super-sized allotment of around a third of an acre in the old scale saw the keys change hands here for just over $900,000.
Remember, with so many buyers keen to purchase as soon as possible, January is likely to be an ideal time to have your property on the market, (with less competition from other sellers), so feel free to give us a call this week at Barry Plant Cranbourne on 5990 9400.
