Cranbourne market gets a post lockdown boost

Given the high levels of pent-up buyer demand we have been reporting throughout 2021, it was no surprise that we saw the real estate market in the City of Casey go from a lockdown-enforced ‘mini break’ to a flood of activity in the space of 24 hours this week.

As we forecast in LAST WEEK'S UPDATE, the phones started ringing and the email enquiries started landing in our in-boxes on Wednesday as soon as the end of the latest restrictions was confirmed, and they haven’t stopped since. This demand from buyers has produced some impressive turnouts at our Open Houses, and some terrific sales results for happy vendors.

A prime example of this involved the recent sale of a well-presented family home located within walking distance of Westernport Bay in Blind Bight.

The good looking three-bedroom home at 3 Gull Court (pictured) generated plenty of positive feedback from buyers, many of whom were already living in the area and looking to upgrade.

Not surprisingly, the location was one of the popular features, being set at the end of a quiet court that was still close to the local General Store, boat ramps, the foreshore and bushwalking tracks. Local schools were also just a short drive away.

Inside the home, the most popular aspects included the sunken family living area with an open fireplace, whilst a second living zone was open to an impressive kitchen with stainless steel appliances. There was also plenty of positive feedback on the alfresco entertaining are in the backyard which also featured a large workshop area which suggested a number of alternative uses.

Strong interest from several keen buyers soon saw the SOLD sign go up, with a strong mid-week sale being negotiated at $642,500. A great result for all concerned!
