Barry Plant Eastern Group leads the way with lockdown online sales!
This week we have found buyers in our local markets have continued their search for properties online with Realestate.com saying “While we hoped lockdowns were behind us, we are going into this latest lockdown amidst an extremely strong market. We’re seeing incredible buyer demand for properties in Victoria, with listing views up 26% and enquiries up 15%”
We saw strong competition at our online auctions today with 4/5 Darcy Street Doncaster hosting four buyers through the online bidding platform and the property selling over reserve for $685,000. Agent Todd Lucas said “This morning’s auction ran perfectly. Buyers are comfortable using the online platform and we are also available on the phone during the auction in case buyers have any questions or are more comfortable with phone bidding. The online auction option has been a great way for Sellers and Buyers to feel confident to buy and sell in Victoria, knowing that even when we enter snap lockdowns we can continue with the sale process”
What we are seeing at the moment is more and more buyers are looking for family homes on larger suburban blocks. The lifestyle acre market continues to go from strength to strength and the traditional backyard with enough room to kick a footy is back as a NO.1 requirement for buyers. A large backyard and home offices/study areas have become more popular search requirements for buyers this year.
Our offices across the Eastern Group went straight into lockdown selling methods, using all of the up to date digital property technology and selling strategies to continue very strong results for our vendors again this week. This resulted in 19 sales for the week!
