An article in the Herald Sun last weekend listed 70 Melbourne suburbs that have defied the downward market trend and recorded double-digit growth in the past year. Fifty-seven of the suburbs were more than 20km from the CBD with just Elwood, Williamstown and South Yarra in the inner ring. Our local areas of Whitehorse, Manningham and Banyule are all located approximately 20kms from the CBD and therefore fall right into the prime area for property sales at the moment.
Last week there were some good results achieved across the Barry Plant network with a five bedroom homestead style house on an acre in Donvale selling for $1,570,000 among many others.
