Strong property sales making news

Given the strong property sales our team has been achieving recently, we probably shouldn’t have been surprised to see the camera crews from Channel 7 News turning out at one of auctions this weekend. It seems that our strong run of sales so far this Winter has generated interest from beyond the borders of the City of Moonee Valley!

The good news is that the news cameras got to record another strong sale, which was great news for our happy vendors. And the good news extended to several other happy vendors, including:

Airport West: 2A Olive Grove

This easy care three-bedroom unit enjoyed a popular location with Hansen and Etzel reserve at the end of the street. So popular, in fact, that this property found new owners at $650,000 before it even had a chance to be promoted on the internet!

Airport West: 134A Halsey Road

Combining the fresh appeal of a brand-new home and easy access to Westfield, this appealing single-level three-bedroom town residence produced such strong interest that the owner’s decided not to wait for this week’s scheduled auction, accepting a convincing early offer of $768,000.

Avondale Heights: 13 Cortina Place

Family flexibility was one of the key attractions of this commanding double-storey home in a prized cul-de-sac near parklands, elite schools and Milleara Shopping Centre. Offering four bedrooms, two bathrooms and four well zoned living areas, this high-set home drew interest from several local families looking to upgrade. Three bidders pushed the price to $1.02 million, exceeding our happy vendor’s expectations.

Essendon: 10 Deakin Street

The opportunity to purchase a stunning new home (pictured) in a highly sought-after address close to Aberfeldie Primary School and St Bernard’s College proved to be a popular one, with strong interest being shown in the lead-up to this weekend’s auction, (and by the Channel 7 News cameras on the day). Combining an innovative design, luxurious finishes and a generous four-bedroom floorplan, this eye-catching prestige home was sold for a very pleasing $1.71 million.

Niddrie: 50 Muriel Street

A mix of investors, builders and young families keen to renovate or rebuild all turned out to inspect this well placed two-bedroom home on around 650sqm of land near Rosehill Secondary College. The competitive environment of today’s tight market did the rest, with the SOLD sign going up at $1.05 million.

As we’ve mentioned in recent weeks, the strong property sales we have been reporting are an indication of strong buyer demand and a shortage of available property for sale. As this imbalance is showing no signs of easing in the next month or so, it presents a terrific opportunity for anyone thinking of selling in 2019.
