2020 Auctions off to a 100% start

Our first auctions for the new year seemed to pick up where they left off in December, with our team achieving a very pleasing 100% auction success rate to start 2020.

Perhaps it was OUR TIPS ON BIDDING AT AUCTION last week, but the competition was fierce and the results for our vendors were very satisfying. When you add in several outstanding sales that were also negotiated during the week, it’s been a terrific start to February for local home sellers.

Among the more notable results were:

Fraser Rise: 15 Galibier Parade

A modern low maintenance lifestyle was brilliantly defined in this stylish double-storey three-bedroom home, which achieved a pleasing sale through well managed private negotiations.

Hillside: 10 Tarquin Court

A mix of first home buyers and downsizers showed the most interest in this renovated three-bedroom home. A good-sized crowd watched five bidders take the eventual sale price all the way to $642,000, exceeding all expectations for our happy vendors.

Hillside: 32 Pilgrim Drive

Situated in the popular Bellevue Estate, this four-bedroom home drew spirited bidding from five hopeful families, with the auctioneer’s gavel finally falling for a very satisfying $645,000.

Hillside: 35 Royal Crescent

With schools and parks just around the corner, this well presented four-bedroom home attracted plenty of interest from young families, particularly once they’d seen the fully equipped home theatre! A huge crowd watched three determined bidders push the price to $720,000.

Hillside:18 Sovereign Way

Combining a stunning sandstone façade with eye-catching heritage influences, this stunning four-bedroom showpiece made the most of a location in one of Hillside’s premier tree-lined streets. Productive negotiations immediately after this week’s auction produced a strong sale at $842,000.

Kings Park: 1/17 Galena Crescent

This neat as a pin two-bedroom unit (pictured) benefitted from a popular position, close to all amenities. A successful auction campaign saw the SOLD flag go up at $405,000.

St Albans: 2/17 Perrett Avenue

This modern two-bedroom townhouse produced such strong interest that a pleasing mid-week sale was completed before it could even be listed on the internet.

Taylors Lakes: 11 Oates Court

The rare opportunity to secure a vacant homesite of just over 800sqm in this popular court surrounded by quality homes proved a tempting one. One lucky family is now looking forward to building their dream home after securing the site for $662,000.

The important thing to remember is that results like these don’t happen by accident. So, if you are considering selling, and want to be sure that you are maximising your result, feel free to give our team at Barry Plant St Albans on 9367 7044.

Cheers,
