Get ready for a big week

There were plenty of frustrated homebuyers around the City of Brimbank this weekend after the announcement on Friday that property inspections and onsite auctions had been put on hold until after midnight on Wednesday.

Of course, the good news for buyers is that all of our scheduled auctions for this weekend have only been put back by one week and have all been allocated new times on Saturday January 20th. If you’d like to check on the updated schedule, you can do that by CLICKING HERE...

We are anticipating a busy couple of days in the lead-up to next weekend, so if you are keen to inspect any of these upcoming auctions, you’ll want to keep your eye on our mid-week Open House times. Alternatively, you might like to have a chat with one of our team during the week to make a time for a personal inspection.

Not surprisingly, there was still plenty of buyer activity before the lock down was announced. Recent sales activity has included:

Keilor Downs: Adler Court. A quiet cul-de-sac with Keilor Downs Plaza right around the corner proved a popular option for upsizing locals, with the keys to this four-bedroom double-storey home changing hands at $870,000.

St Albans: Eddie Street. The team has put together two outstanding sales in this well-established street right around the corner from St Paul’s Catholic School. Both sales involved a three-bedroom home; one on a 585sqm corner block, another on 587sqm.

St Albans: Fox Street. Regular readers will know that we have experienced a high level of buyer activity on a group of three brand new residences that have been constructed just down the street from St Albans North Primary School. The latest sale involved the single level unit at the rear of the block, which achieved a strong mid-week sale.

St Albans: Lois Street. Providing an excellent entry-level opportunity close to Churchill Reserve, a neat three-bedroom home on a subdivided block found new owners at just under the $500,000-mark.

Taylors Hill: Amberlea Circuit. This three-bedroom townhouse enjoyed easy access to the supermarket and attracted equal levels of interest from market entrants and investors, with the latter finding extra appeal in already having tenants in place until September.

Don’t forget that whilst our office doors may be closed until Thursday morning, our team at Barry Plant St Albans is still available to assist you via telephone, so don’t hesitate to give us a call if you need any advice or assistance on any property-related matter.

Best wishes,
