There’s still time if you’re quick!

A lot of local property owners in the City of Brimbank may have been surprised by the full page we took out on the back cover of this weekend’s Realestate lift-out in the Herald-Sun but make no mistake, the numbers are unmistakably confirming that not only is demand from buyers continuing to grow, but it’s now at a level that matches what we were experiencing last year’s Spring market!

That’s great news for anyone who is still keen to make a move in 2020, as there’s still time to get a great sale if you get your skates on.

In case you missed it, our network was able to complete 815 successful property sales for happy vendors last month, despite the restrictions and the negativity that so many members of the media were promoting.

Whilst that number in itself is pleasing, what was even more interesting was the fact that this was the same number of sales that our group achieved in October of 2019! Clearly the market has rebounded strongly since the restrictions on property inspections were lifted, and we saw more recent examples of this strong demand at a local level in recent days, including:

Fraser Rise: Aspire Boulevard. An attractive three-bedroom home was one of several to sell before they officially hit the market, with a quick first home buyer snapping this one up before it hit the internet.

Hillside: Lightwood Close. A beautiful period-style single level home was another one to see the keys changing hands within 48hours of it hitting the market.

Kings Park: 2/367 Taylors Road. This modern two-bedroom unit (pictured) near Gillson College was another example of a buyer wanting to secure their dream home before a full internet campaign could be launched.

St Albans: 2/8 Jamieson Street. One of three brand new townhouses on the block, this two-bedroom home attracted interest from a mix of first home buyers and investors before reaching a very positive conclusion at $475,000.

St Albans: 3 Rhodes Street. With interest from a mix of investors, builders and developers, this large family home on around 720sqm of land within walking distance of the station saw a positive result with a minimum wait.

Sydenham: 1 Breadalbane Court. The combination of a quiet court location and a huge allotment of just under 1000sqm proved a popular one in this four-bedroom home, with the SOLD sign going up during the week.

Taylors Lakes: 4/41 Wentworth Drive. Offering easy walking access to Watergardens, this three-bedroom townhouse attracted three bidders to Saturday’s auction. Declared on the market at $520,000, it sold for a very pleasing $538,000.

With results like these you may be thinking of making a move sooner than you may have originally planned, or may simply be curious about what your property could sell for in the current strong market conditions. Either way, feel free to give us a call this week at Barry Plant St Albans on 9367 7044.
