2017: The year that was

It’s hard to believe that just one year ago, many of the analysts and commentators in Australia were forecasting that the property market in Melbourne, indeed across the nation, was set for a quieter year in 2017. Of course, as we all know now, 2017 turned out to be a year of strong growth throughout the Melbourne market, and some fantastic local results both within the property world and within our group of offices.

Here are some of the highlights from last year:

  • Not only did local home owners enjoy tremendous growth in property values, but our team was responsible for achieving many of the price records that really got the western suburbs talking.
  • Our network enjoyed strong growth in market share across the western and north-western suburbs.
  • This enabled us to continue to support countless local sporting clubs, schools and community groups.
  • We continued to roll out the popular Melbourne Victory soccer clinics in local schools.
  • Our ongoing support of Make-A-Wish Australia raised over $100,000 for some very sick Aussie children again this year.
  • We expanded our support of the St Vincent’s Institute for Medical Research.
  • We also raised the bar on our own service standards through increased staff training and development, and the implementation of new technology to provide our clients with even better service and information.

The important thing to remember is that none of these achievements would have been possible without the ongoing support and recommendations of so many residents of Melbourne’s west.

With this in mind, we would like to wish each and every one of you all the very best for the year ahead. From our family to yours, we hope that 2018 will be a year that brings all your hopes, dreams and aspirations to life
