Our team at Barry Plant Sunshine has been experiencing very strong demand in all areas and price ranges throughout January, with some outstanding results being achieved for some very happy vendors.

This property was due to be our first auction of 2018, however our team attracted such strong buyer interest during the marketing campaign that the vendors decided to accept a strong early offer of $630,000 rather than waiting for today’s scheduled auction.

As an indication of just how strong the market has been in the past few weeks, this sale was one of two that we achieved in Mc Laughlin Street in January, and the fourth sale in Ardeer in the past 3 weeks. Our team has also negotiated multiple sales in both Braybrook and Sunshine West in recent days, ranging in price from the high-$500,000’s to the mid- $800,000’s. Activity like this is a sure sign of a strong start to the year for the local property market.

Buyers would be well advised to take note of the article that appeared the Realestate lift-out of Saturday’s Herald-Sun written by Hannah Scholte. This article, headed “Hit the ground running”, emphasised the importance of being quick off the mark if you want to secure a property without having to compete with a whole new group of buyers that will be entering the market this year.
