As everyone is aware, the current Covid-19 pandemic is making life incredibly difficult for so many Australians right now, so it would be no surprise if people focused purely on staying safe and healthy while we wait for the whole situation to play out.

Yet, whilst all of us at Barry Plant Caroline Springs and Taylors Lakes are taking all the necessary and recommended precautions to protect the safety of our team and our clients, there is one fact that has remained abundantly clear. There are still people who are very keen to sell, and there are people who are very keen to buy.

So whilst Open Houses are off the agenda for the time being, and Auctions can only be conducted online, property sales are still being achieved in our area of the north-west. We saw further examples during the week, including:

Caroline Springs: 14 Lawson Way

Strategically positioned just across the street from beautiful Lake Edenfield, this neat double-storey three-bedroom home on just under 400sqm of land saw the contract inked this week at an impressive $770,000.

Hillside: 70 Glenbruar Drive

This three-bedroom home on 639sqm of land found instant interest the moment it was listed from several buyers who had registered their details with our team. As a result, it was sold before it even had time to hit the internet, with contracts being completed at $780,000.

Keilor: 4-6 Campaspe Crescent

Providing yet another example of the value of post-auction negotiations when handled by experienced professionals, this grand five-bedroom double-storey home (pictured) on over 1000sqm of land had plenty to offer a larger family. A very pleasing result was finalised during the week at $1.27 million.

Kings Park: 38 Beverley Street

This updated three-bedroom home a short walk from Kings Park Reserve and Primary School impressed buyers with its well-maintained appearance and excellent outdoor entertaining area. As a result, a strong mid-week sale was negotiated at $530,000.

Sydenham: 1/36 Albert Road

Enjoying easy access to Watergardens and local parks, this cosy villa surprised many with its family-friendly four-bedroom accommodation, gaining quick acceptance at $460,000.

With results like these being achieved despite the overwhelming volume of negative media coverage, it is worth noting that whilst we all need to be mindful and careful as we navigate these times, the team at Barry Plant is here to assist, for as long as we are permitted to. Don’t hesitate to call on our experience and expertise at any time on 9390 8333.

Best wishes,

James Hatzimoisis & John Aaron Nakic
