Easter market produces more sweet results
Last week’s Easter weekend, (along with this week’s Orthodox Easter of course), may have been an opportunity for many Melbourne residents to take a well-earned break, but there were clearly lots of keen home buyers who were determined to push ahead with their search for their next home.
Our team was able to negotiate a number of strong sales privately this week, and achieved yet another 100% auction success rate this weekend on the back of some big turnouts at many of our Open Houses. The rain may have taken our auctions under cover, but that didn’t stop the buyers, with an average of four bidders competing at each auction.
Here’s an overview of some of our recent results:
Albanvale: 40 Concord Circuit. A quick and highly effective off-market campaign saw contracts signed in the high $500,000’s on this three-bedroom home before it even had a chance to hit the internet.
Burnside Heights: 90 Inglewood Drive. With a choice of schools, the Arbour on the Park and Lake Caroline all within strolling distance, it was no surprise to see a big crowd turning out for the auction despite the weather. Four determined bidders pushed the price all the way to a very satisfying $815,000 (pictured).
Hillside: 1/11 Timele Drive. Located close to the family-friendly spaces of Morton Homestead, this low maintenance three-bedroom home attracted the attention of several young families before inking a strong mid-week sale at $550,000.
Hillside: 8 Penlow Court. A quiet court setting opposite the reserve enhanced the appeal of a pleasing heritage-influenced façade on this three-bedroom home. Interest from a mix of first timers and downsizers produced a pleasing sale at $572,000.
Kings Park: 14 Maplewood Road. With Kings Park reserve over the back fence and Copperwood College a short walk away, this privately situated three-bedroom home was another that found new owners before the photographer had time to set up their tripod!
Sydenham: 34 Cressida Crescent. This week’s auction in the ever-popular Rose Hedge Estate attracted a good-sized crowd which saw a competitive bidding duel between four groups of buyers. The eventual sale at $760,000 was a pleasing one for all involved.
