Like so many other businesses in Victoria, the past few weeks have certainly been a challenging time for all of us on the Barry Plant team across Melbourne’s north-west.

In an environment where the latest news and expert advice seems to be changing constantly, our team has stayed focused on keeping our clients up-to-date with what is happening in the local real estate market and ensuring that we continue to produce the results that our clients have come to expect from us.

Whilst we have put in place a number of precautions to ensure the safety of our team and the many members of the public we come into contact with, we are continuing to keep our activities as ‘normal’ as possible, helping buyers and vendors to achieve their property goals. So it was incredibly satisfying that our team was able to achieve another 100% auction success rate this week despite all the potential distractions. Results like these show the benefits of the extensive experience that our team provides.

One example of the difference that experience can make to a clients’ results was apparent at our auction of a four-bedroom double-storey home in the ever-popular Regency Rise Estate in Hillside.

Set on an impressive allotment of close to 1000sqm complete with an inground pool, No. 19 Knight Court was a property that had all the right ingredients in place, bit was ready for some cosmetic updating to maximise the appeal. A good-sized crowd turned out to watch the auction, (all maintaining an appropriate social distance of course), and the signs were good from the start with the opening bid of $730,000 already exceeding our vendor’s reserve!

A fierce bidding duel ensued, with the eventual sale price of $870,000 exceeding all expectations. As you can see from the photo, a young couple emerged victorious and are looking forward to creating many happy memories in their new neighbourhood.
