Let’s face it, the past year has proved that the real estate market can still produce outstanding results even when the agent’s offices are shut, so we probably shouldn’t be surprised that there are still SOLD and LEASED signs going up on our boards while the rest of the industry is in holiday mode.
A prime example of just how determined many of the buyers are at the moment occurred in a potential packed three-bedroom home in Douglas Court in Thomastown, (pictured).
The owners of this property contacted our team in the lead-up to Christmas with plans to get it on the market in the new year. However, given the large numbers of buyers registered on our database, we thought it would be a good idea to get a few buyers through the property to gain some valuable market feedback for the vendors, even before we got the photographers and floorplan people to the property and the listing was launched on the internet.
Sure enough, the first buyers through the door not only decided that they wanted to make an immediate offer, but they were prepared to make an offer that was strong enough to convince our happy vendors not to wait until the new year to get more buyers through.
The result…a quick and exciting sale at an impressive $630,000 within 24 hours of the listing hitting our desks, and an excited young couple now making plans for 2021 after securing their first home!
Make no mistake, there are a huge number of buyers who are yet to purchase their next home and who are keen to do that in our part of Melbourne as soon as humanly possible.
So, if you are considering selling in 2021, and would like to find out what sort of result might be possible in a market where there is so much demand and so little property available for sale, our office is open and ready to assist you. Don’t hesitate to give us a call this week to discuss your options on 9466 3233.
We look forward to making a difference.
