Once again this week I am happy to report that the high levels of buyer activity that we have been reporting across the City of Whittlesea over the past few months is continuing unabated.

Not only is our team at Barry Plant Thomastown reporting strong enquiry levels in all price ranges and for all types of property, but we have continued to achieve some outstanding sales results for our happy vendors despite many Melbourne residents still being in holiday mode.

Another example of this recent run of exciting sales results involved and elevated villa unit on around 265sqm of land in McKimmies Road, Lalor. The property included two bedrooms serviced by a dual access bathroom, flexible living areas and a low maintenance backyard.

Offering ready access to Lalor Plaza Shopping Centre, transport, primary and secondary schools and RMIT University, this property generated interest from a variety of buyers, from first home buyers and investors to local downsizers.

In the end, a first home buyer won the day, with the SOLD sign going up within a week of the property hitting the market. As you can see from the photo, the celebrations were a family affair with the buyer’s parents sharing the excitement.

Results like this provide a timely reminder for anyone considering making a move in 2021 that right now the local property market is providing an exceptional opportunity for sellers, with limited property available and enormous numbers of buyers keen to act.

With this in mind, I would invite you to give us a call if you would like to talk through your options in the current market. The team at Barry Plant Thomastown are always happy to provide obligation-free advice, and you might be surprised at just how much you could achieve by selling in the current climate. Feel free to give us a call this week on 9466 3233.

Cheers,

Con Constantinou
