Director - Barry Plant Ballarat

A born leader, with a genuine love for working with people, and bringing with her over three decades of experience in the property industry, Yvonne Jackson is thriving in her role as both CEO and Director of the Barry Plant Bendigo office.

Yvonne had plans to travel the world and enjoy retirement with her husband Rod, but in 2015 plans changed when she was presented with an opportunity to buy into the Barry Plant franchise in Bendigo. Having spent 25 years in property development, she jumped at the opportunity to take on a new and very different challenge in the property sector.

Yvonne excels in her ability to focus on and understand each and every aspect of the business. She uses her extensive experience and leadership skills to ensure that everyone in the office is on the same page and prospering is their roles, and her strong work ethic, stringent attention to detail, forward-thinking, and positive approach is one of the main reasons why Barry Plant Bendigo has grown into award-winning business.

Outside of work, Yvonne adores spending time with her family, including Rod her husband of 42 years, her 4 adult children, and her 3 happy little grandsons. An avid follower of the Sydney Swans, she loves playing golf, going to the theatre, reading a good book, and enjoying great company over food and wine. She also has a passion for travel, and hopes to get back to the south-west of France where her and Rod own a beautiful country house in Doazon overlooking a lake.

“My focus is about the leadership and the culture of the business. Because I don’t sell and don’t have the mindset that it is all about moving properties, I’m able to focus on what I need to do and make it a great workplace, and support everyone involved. Our Barry Plant office are great places to come into every day, and everyone just works together so well.”

“I’d also relay something that my father used to say which is ‘If you’re bitten off more than you can chew, then you better chew like mad!’.”
