Suburb profile: Goorambat, VIC 3725

Goorambat is a small rural town roughly 17km north of Benalla, Victoria and just under half way between Benalla and Yarrawonga. The last recorded population here was only 347 in 2011.

The town has a real community feel to it with 2 churches, a town hall that is used for functions, community groups and alike, the Railway Hotel is a popular spot for the locals to get together, an active CFA with over 60 local members. There is also a bowls club, football & netball club and a range of other community groups who meet to plan fantastic community events.

Goorambat has a regular V-Line bus, as part of the Mulwala link from Albury to Melbourne.

Opposite the old rail station you will find the old grain silos, painted by famed iconic Melbourne Street artist Dvate, depicting an endangered bird of prey from the area, a trio of draft horses and a rural landscape. Another stunning artwork can be found inside the Uniting Church.
