Silvan is a beautiful, treed, farming suburb located 40km east of Melbournes CBD.

Silvans biggest event would be the internationally popular Tesselaar Tulip Festival. Held for 2 weeks each spring, the festival showcases brightly coloured tulip fields along side a mix of art, culture, food, music and entertainment.

You can stretch the legs along the Grey Gum Track if you like a walk amongst the trees.

The town itself is small and hosts a service station, a post office, fruit and vegetable store and a small Primary School. Silvan also has a Football and Cricket Club.
