Burnley is a suburb bordering the Yarra river only 4km east of Melbournes CBD.

Burnley is historically considered to be part of the larger Richmond area. Its location in inner-suburban Melbourne is well known due to the naming of the Burnley Tunnel near the area, a major part of Melbourne's CityLink transport network.

Burnley is serviced by tram & train, with the Burnley railway station near the corner of Swan Street and Burnley Street. There is also an inbound/outbound entry from the Monash Freeway.
