Barry Plant’s history began in 1979 in Templestowe, Victoria. From those early beginnings, the business grew across Melbourne’s suburbs by focusing on local relationships, practical real estate advice and a commitment to helping clients achieve strong property outcomes. As the network expanded, Barry Plant became known for its local office presence, agent expertise and strong connection with the Victorian property market. A key milestone came in 1999 with the merger that formed Barry Plant Doherty, helping strengthen the brand’s scale, reach and service capability. By 2005, the network had expanded to more than 60 offices, reinforcing Barry Plant’s position as a leading real estate agency in Victoria.
