About Barry Plant's Wishtober

Over the last five years we have raised over half a million dollars for Make-A-Wish Australia®

Normally, October is Wishtober, the month that Barry Plant offices work to raise funds for Make-A-Wish® Australia, a wonderful organisation that grants wishes for critically ill children and teenagers. But, as we all know, these times aren’t normal. So, this year, we’ve pushed out our fundraising month to November and re-named it Wishvember. Still a full month totally dedicated to raising money for Make-A-Wish.

About Make-A-Wish®

In Australia today, more than 9,500 children have a life-threatening illness. During the weeks, months and often years of treatment, there’s little opportunity for sick kids to just be kids, and enjoy moments other families take for granted.

Make-A-Wish Australia creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Our mission is to grant the wish of every eligible child – a quest sparked by the belief that a wish is integral to a child’s treatment.

The wish effect

Make-A-Wish take each child on a carefully designed, unique journey where they anticipate and experience their most precious wish coming true. This journey gives these kids and teens with life-threatening illnesses hope for the future, strength to face the challenges of their illness, and joy from their incredible wish experience. Wishes transform the lives of sick kids, their families and communities. When a wish is realised, a child discovers that despite their situation, anything is possible.
