Barry Plant CEO takes on Jimmy Bartel to raise money for Very Special Kids
Annual 3AW Treadmill Challenge to raise funds for Very Special Kids back after two-year hiatus
The annual 3AW Treadmill Challenge to raise funds for Very Special Kids was back today after a two year hiatus due to Covid. This year, former Geelong AFL star and now 3AW expert commentator, Jimmy Bartel, undertook to clock up 100kms on a treadmill in the 3AW offices to raise awareness about the Very Special Kids organisation and to raise much needed funds for their important work.
Businesses were asked to donate to the cause and send along someone to keep Jimmy company by walking or running on the treadmill next to him for a period of time.
Nigel O’Neil, CEO of the Barry Plant Group was up for the challenge, keeping pace with Jimmy for an hour and clocking up 10 kilometres.
Very Special Kids is an amazing organisation that provides holistic palliative care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions as well as providing tailored support for their families.
