Barry Plant Think Tank inspires property managers

Property management was front and centre at Barry Plant Group’s 11th annual Think Tank conference, which aimed to inspire and motivate property managers with innovative ideas and effective management strategies.

Several impressive keynote speakers addressed the 175 Barry Plant staff members, discussing a range of strategies new methods of management skills.

Barry Plant Group CEO and Director Mike McCarthy said property management was an important part of the business.

“We want all our property managers to be at the forefront of innovative practices to they can best meet the needs of all their valued clients,” Mr McCarthy said.

“Think Tank is a real opportunity for all property managers to get together and share ideas, listen to keynote speakers, and leave inspired to improve in all aspects of their job.”

One of Australasia’s best sales coaches for real estate agents Tom Panos addressed the group on many elements surrounding his ‘Attraction Agent Business Model’, which is highly-regarded throughout the industry.

UK motivational speaker Paul McGee, author of the Sunday Times bestseller S.U.M.O. (Shut Up, Move On) focused his talk on change and workplace relationships, delving into ideas about personal effectiveness and professional improvement. OurProperty Group CEO Sandy Moore also spoke on the day.

Barry Plant Group Property Management Consultant Yvonne Martin said Think Tank is one of the best events on their calendar.

“To get all the property managers together from different offices to listen to experts and throw ideas around is so worthwhile for everyone who attends,” she said.

“In an industry that is moving at such a fast pace, it’s so beneficial to have events like this so we can learn and grow both as a collective group and as individuals.”

The event also celebrated the success of property managers in the Barry Plant network with awards being handed out to individuals who excelled in their role over the last 12 months.
