Glamourous Heathmont house sale raises price benchmark by $1.28M

Coveted outer-eastern suburb draws buyers seeking family lifestyle, amenities and green surrounds

A stunning showpiece with “something special” has set a new Heathmont house price record.

The 69 Dickasons Road property took just 38 days to sell for above the $3.4-$3.7 million price guide, Barry Plant Heathmont & Ringwood director Louise Carrigg said.

The four-bedroom house on 2982sq m attracted multiple interested buyers, with two making offers close to the final sale price.

The previous record price for a house in Heathmont was $2.471 million for 1 Ilford Rd, which sold in April 2022.

“The buyer came from our database, while the person who missed out wasn’t looking at Heathmont until they saw the listing in the Domain magazine,” Ms Carrigg said.

“Not everyone expected the property to fetch such a price, but it showed that we have buyers willing to spend to live in the area.”

Ms Carrigg added that while there was a lack of properties for sale, everything that was available was selling well because of a competitive interest among buyers.

Located in a prized pocket, the property was featured on Channel 9's "Australia's Best Homes" TV series, hosted by celebrity Megan Gale.

The modern masterpiece was built by a high-end developer and their textile-artist partner as a family home, and it featured stylish appointments, a poolside entertainment area and glorious native aspects.

“The owners designed every nook and cranny and it featured textural elements and environmentally friendly features, and buyers just loved the home,” Ms Carrigg said.
