Two Golden Mile showpieces gift sellers a combined $10.55 million

The “best house” in a coveted Doncaster East precinct has smashed out a new residential price record.

The majestic five-bedroom house at 3 Dalkeith Court fetched $4.05 million, easily eclipsing the previous suburb record of $3.19 million set in 2022.

“It was an exceptional result for a large parcel of land in a prestigious pocket,” Barry Plant Manningham agent Nathan Papadopoulos said.

“It was the best home in the area to come up for sale, and a listing with a pool and tennis court is rare.”

Mr Papadopoulos, who had been in contact with the sellers over a seven-year period, sealed the deal in 24 hours.

“There were three buyers interested,” he said.

“A family of four from Box Hill inspected the house on a Tuesday and bought it the next day.”

The buyers had only recently started looking and made an unconditional offer for the home, Mr Papadopoulos added.

Built in the 1990s, the well-maintained six-bathroom house sprawls on a 1450sq m block with four-car garaging.

The listing was described as offering luxury and grandeur, with a combination of space and functionality.

The interior features high ceilings, an open fireplace in the lounge room, formal dining and casual meals areas, a family room and a superb entertainer’s kitchen showcasing granite surfaces and premium appliances.

There is a downstairs bedroom with an ensuite, an upstairs main suite, plus three more bedrooms with ensuites and a teenager’s retreat.

An entertainer’s paradise, the backyard offers a pool and a floodlit tennis court. A wine cellar, pizza oven and two double garages are also included.

The property is zoned to Serpells Primary and East Doncaster College, and has easy access to The Pines Shopping Centre, Ruffey Lake Park, Tunstall Square, Jackson Court, Westfield Doncaster and Eastern Freeway.

Barry Plant Manningham also recently notched up another mega sale, with 77 Serpells Road, Templestowe, changing hands for $6.5 million.

The five-bedroom, five-bathroom house with six-car garaging had been listed with a $6-$6.6 million price guide, and sold in an off-market deal by agency director Theo Politis.

The luxury home on a magnificent 4445sq m block is in Templestowe’s sought-after Golden Mile.
