Brand new townhouse features curves in all the right places

A stunning architecturally designed townhouse with curved features throughout, has just been listed for sale in Templestowe.

The bespoke five-bedroom home at 64 Anderson St, sits on 397sq m, and is set to go under the hammer on April 17 with Barry Plant Doncaster East auctioneer, Todd Lucas.

This statement piece suburban home offers the latest in contemporary living through chic stylish elements of natural stone, leather, timber and textural finishes.

The sellers, who are also the developers, wanted to create a bespoke and high-calibre design that is not often seen in townhouses, according to Chamberlain Property developer Jess Chamberlain.

“We really tried to create spaces that are high end and aesthetically on trend,” Ms Chamberlain said.

“We have brought things you generally would see in a lot of bigger homes to the townhouse market.”

Ms Chamberlain said curves have played a big part in the design of the home.

The feature island bench highlights a shapely, upholstered cut out, the fireplace features a contoured tile wall, a curved garden bed sits in one of the two outdoor spaces, and even the joinery handles, wall lights and custom fluted wooden bedhead stay consistent with the curvy theme.

Ms Chamberlain’s love for upholstery and a niggling feeling that the bench space was too small, inspired the idea of the custom island booth.

“We made a last-minute change to double the size of the island bench, but I wanted to utilise the space so there wasn’t the overhang for the bar stools,” she said.

“We pulled inspiration on that hotel, commercial, hospitality feel, and cut into that couch area, it still serves the same purpose, but gives a little more of a luxurious touch.”

The home also features three-metre high ceilings and windows, natural stone benchtops paired with natural timber joinery, and an open-plan layout.

There is the option of a main bedroom on both the lower and upper level, while the other three bedrooms offer built-in wardrobes. Fantastic natural light and wide hallways and spaces are also consistent throughout the home.

In collaboration with the sellers, Adam Kane Architects, AABM Builders and Bethany Williamson Landscape Architect, all worked for 17 months to bring a vision of bespoke luxury to life in Templestowe, sales agent Todd Lucas said.

The property has a $1.55-$1.69 million price guide. For details and inspection, contact Todd Lucas on 0401 941 210.
