Local area still a hot spot for Auctions!

Whilst Auction rates across the state have been hovering around 50% recently, there are a few suburbs that are still selling well under the hammer. Doncaster East was one of the best performing suburbs in the entire country for the September 2018 quarter, with a clearance rate of 72.6% from 76 Auctions.

The trend still seems to be that the quality suburbs are performing better and many suburbs in our local areas of Manningham, Whitehorse, Nillumbik and Banyule are in high demand so are therefore outperforming most other areas in the state.

Generally, Auctions are only popular in Sydney and Melbourne. This quarter Melbourne has had 9629 auctions, despite a slight decrease on the same time last year, this number is still considerably higher than Sydney and all other capital cities in Australia and it’s likely we’ll see more and more private sales in the months to come.
