Historically, in January we meet more buyers per property than any other month. This is because people are busy at every other time of the year. Whereas in January, a lot of buyers have taken time off work and can spend some time researching property and attending inspections. Buyers who didn’t buy during the Spring rush have a sense of desperation to find a house before February and the start of the school year. Many buyers are prepared during this time to increase their budget to get out of the buying market by February.
