As the temperature increased this week, so too did the number of homes going to auction as the Melbourne Cup Carnival draws to a close. Along with the warmer weather, we had over 1,000 potential buyers come through our open homes, proving that there is still plenty happening in the Spring market across Manningham, Whitehorse and Nillumbik!

This week’s auction results include:

  • 1/57-59 Anderson Street, Templestowe – Sold at auction for $600,000
  • 1/21 Beddows Street, Burwood – Sold under the hammer for $825,000
  • 6/34-36 Wilsons Road, Doncaster – Sold for $795,000
  • 2/137 Manningham Road, Bulleen – Sold at auction for $726,000
  • 3 Ryrie Place, Vermont South – Sold for the strong price of $1,320,000
  • 1A/8 Maringa Street, Bulleen – Sold for a pleasing $1,615,000
  • 41 Gray Street, Doncaster – Sold for $1,42300 under the hammer, a fantastic $103,000 above the reserve

This week’s private sale results included 36 Tidcombe Crescent, Doncaster East, which sold for $1,636,000.

With the decreasing property numbers as the year draws to a close next month, I believe there will be increased competition at auctions in the next four weeks. There is still plenty of time to get your home listed and sold before the end of the year.

The Rental Market

Now is also a very busy time for property management, as tenants look to make the move before the hot summer months and busy festive season sets in. If you are considering investing, placing your property up for lease or are looking to lease, now is a great time to get in touch with our award winning team on 03 9842 8888.
