Melbourne’s housing price boom over the past 12 months has been well documented by numerous media outlets, but while much of the commentary has been about the huge price growth in regional centres — particularly those close to water — there is lots to be said for the impressive gains recorded by many suburbs more locally in the cities of Manningham, Whitehorse, Nillumbik and Banyule.

According to REA data, in the 12 months to December 2021, six suburbs in the City of Manningham saw its median house sale price increase in value by more than 16 per cent.
