With ten auctions scheduled this weekend by our combined teams in Essendon, Keilor East and Gladstone Park, we experienced a strong endorsement for the start of the Spring market when all ten achieved successful results.

At a local level in Moonee Valley, these exciting results included:

Keilor East: 16 Steele Creek Drive. Encapsulating so much of the abundant appeal of the Valley Lake Estate, this luxurious double-storey home of four bedrooms and a home office made a real impact with its expansive entertaining areas, both indoors and out overlooking the pool. A competitive auction saw the keys change hands at an impressive $1.82 million.

Keilor Park: 53 Victory Street. As we mentioned a couple of weeks ago, this three-bedroom home in a popular family neighbourhood had a number of buyers thinking about future renovations. So strong was the early interest that the SOLD sign went up well before this week’s scheduled auction.

Keilor Park: 9 Latrose Street. The unusual combination of a three-bedroom home and a separate two-room studio raised all sorts of possibilities for people looking for accommodation for extended family, a home office, or perhaps even developing the artistic side of a family member’s skills. A well-planned auction campaign brought that to a head this weekend.

Maribyrnong: 37 Pridham Street. Combining a Federation-inspired front façade with a free-flowing four-bedroom floorplan, this attractive home situated a short walk from Maribyrnong College and Highpoint was at auction for $1.51 million (pictured).

With additional offers currently under negotiation in Airport West, Avondale Heights, Essendon (two properties), Essendon North, Moonee Ponds and Niddrie, the local market certainly seems to be gathering momentum as we head towards the official start of Spring.
