If you’ve been watching the strong start to the year for the property market in the City of Moonee Valley, and wondering whether the strong buyer demand might provide an opportunity to bring your own plans to fruition, this week’s auction results might have given you further food for thought.

Whilst we only had two auctions scheduled this weekend, it was worth noting that one generated such a strong response that the SOLD sign went up early, whilst the second produced a highly competitive bidding duel between five separate bidders.

Here’s an outline of some of our recent results:

4/1 Woorite Place, Keilor East: This near new contemporary townhouse located within close proximity of quality schools and the Centreway shops reaped the benefits of some competitive mid-week interest, selling for $585,000.

47 Henry Street, Keilor East: Another example of the appeal of modern low maintenance living, this eye-catching two-bedroom townhouse generated plenty of interest through a carefully structured digital campaign, resulting in a pleasing sale at $660,000.

4B Huntley Street, Moonee Ponds: Strategically positioned just a stone’s throw from the Maribyrnong River with its picturesque parklands and trail, this stylish three-bedroom town residence (pictured) had been scheduled for auction this weekend. However, a strong mid-week offer of $950,000 convinced our happy vendors to put the sold sign up early.

20 Turner Street, Westmeadows: This potential-packed three-bedroom home with dual street frontage was auctioned in concert with our colleagues from the Barry Plant Gladstone Park office. A huge crowd watched five bidders compete and, after being declared ‘on the market’ at $700,000, the bidding soared all the way to a remarkable $767,500! A great result for everyone involved!

As I mentioned above, if you are considering selling in 2021, there is no doubt that the current shortage of property for sale is providing an exceptional opportunity for sellers right now. If you would like to discuss your options, the team at Barry Plant Moonee Valley are always happy to provide you with obligation-free advice, so feel free to give us a call this week on 9373 0000.

Cheers,
