The door to our offices in Essendon and Keilor East may have been closed during the main days over the holiday break, but that didn’t slow the activity of a large number of highly motivated buyers across the City of Moonee Valley as they pursued their dreams of securing their next home without delay.

As we all are aware now, the past year certainly confirmed that the real estate market can still find a way to enable sales to be completed even when the agent’s doors are closed, so no-one should be surprised that we have seen numerous SOLD and LEASED signs going up on our boards while so many others in the industry have been putting their feet up.

Indeed, our dedicated team has been putting smiles on the faces of several excited vendors while others in the industry were still unwrapping gifts and celebrating the arrival of the new year. These included:

26 and 26A Berembong Drive, Keilor East: This eye-catching pair of single-level three-bedroom new homes built side-by-side within a short walk of the Centreway Shopping Centre drew plenty of buyer interest for their clean contemporary lines and low maintenance lifestyle. The first of the homes was sold in the second half of December at $820,000 with the second one finding new owners just before the end of the year.

69 Hoffmans Road, Niddrie: An attractive blend of period architecture and modern comforts, this beautifully presented family home (pictured) offered plenty of flexibility with scope for segregated accommodation for older children or extended family. A strong sale was completed in the shadows of Christmas at $1.15 million.

48A Grandview Road, Niddrie: This impressive brand-new double-storey home located a short walk from the lively Niddrie Central Shopping Centre offered four bedrooms, two bathrooms, separate living zones on each level and a north-facing alfresco entertaining area. A very pleasing sale at $1.245 million was completed just as the new year arrived.

If you are considering making a move in 2021, keep in mind that not only are there numerous buyers from last year that are still yet to secure their next home, but we are also seeing a number of new buyers entering the market as well.

So if you’d like to find out how much more your property could achieve in the current market, don’t hesitate to give the team at Barry Plant Moonee Valley a call this week on 9373 0000.

Best wishes,

Bill Karp
