Buyer activity levels continued to show the upward trend we’ve been seeing since the start of 2023 this week, with some excellent inspection numbers at several of our Open Houses and some even more pleasing sales results coming together in a variety of locations across the City of Moonee Valley.

Among our most recent results we saw:

Airport West: 4/9 El Reno Crescent. A striking contemporary design elevated this two-bedroom, two bathroom townhouse above the everyday, as did the inclusion of a separate gym below the two main living areas. It sold through productive midweek negotiations for $650,000.

Ascot Vale: 111/8 Burrowes Street. This first-floor two bedroom apartment in the popular Ascot Gardens building attracted plenty of attention due to its larger than expected terrace, a bonus for anyone who enjoys entertaining. The sale was concluded at $580,000.

Essendon North: 308/110 Keilor Road. Another strong result in the apartment market involved this modern one-bedroom example with excellent city views. The SOLD sign went up at $330,000.

Niddrie: 26A Haldane Road. Well considered renovations and the attractions of Steele Creek trail and the trams on Keilor Road both within walking distance told the tale on this elevated two-bedroom timber home on a subdivided allotment, with the keys changing hands during the week.

Strathmore: 20 Strathnaver Avenue (pictured). The rare opportunity to secure an older three-bedroom home that backed directly onto parkland, (after more than 40 years in the one family), proved a popular one, with the contracts being inked this week at $1.188 million.

With our auction season for 2023 ready to kick off next weekend, the Moonee Valley property market is certainly hitting its straps. So if you would like to discuss your options on the best way to make the most of the current positive selling conditions, a call to our team at Barry Plant Moonee Valley could prove very beneficial indeed. You’ll get us on 9373 0000.

Best wishes,

Bill Karp
