It’s been a very strong week for numerous happy vendors in our area, with some remarkable auction results producing several sales that have certainly got people talking. In fact, this week’s auctions produced sales that exceeded their combined reserves by more than $700,000!

These included:

A potential-filled 3-bedroom home on Tamar Street, a short walk from Aberfeldie Park and the Maribyrnong River, attracted such strong interest that the vendors decided to accept the best of three convincing offers during the week rather than waiting for today’s scheduled auction. The deal was inked at $1.35 million.

Meanwhile, just a few streets away in Allan Street, a 3-bedroom home with a similar abundance of potential for boutique home builders and developers produced an outstanding result when it sold for $1.75 million after strong competition from 4 bidders.

Set on a low-maintenance block with its own title and driveway, a neat 2-bedroom home on Parer Road soared more than 10% above the vendor’s reserve when 3 bidders pushed the price all the way to $530,000!

Zoned for Buckley College and boasting clean-cut, contemporary styling, an eye-catching single-level 4-bedroom home in Roberts Street (pictured) was another one that attracted strong pre-auction interest, selling above the reserve during the week for an impressive $1.485 million.

Our second scheduled auction in Essendon, involving a 5-bedroom double-storey timber home in Ogilvie Street with extra space to suit a teenager, attracted 4 bidders who ensured a very satisfying sale at $1.565 million.

It was a busy day for our team in Niddrie today, with three auctions all producing successful sales. These included a brand new 3-bedroom home in Diamond Street, a potential-filled 3-bedroom red brick home on 650sqm in Grandview Road, and a rare vacant allotment of 650sqm in Vaynor Street.

With auction results like these, you won’t be surprised to know that we believe there are real opportunities out there for property sellers to achieve some exceptional results right now. So if you are considering making a move in 2018, don’t hesitate to give us a call.
