Yet here we are at the end of the day and our office has made several dreams come true with our auctions achieving a 92% auction success rate today and 11 of out 12 auctions already successfully sold.

The fact is that the bidding we experienced today was among the strongest across the board that we have seen all year! Our auctions had up to five separate bidders competing furiously, resulting in sales that achieved a combined total of $341,000 above their vendor’s reserve.

Another really positive sign for the market was that these results ranged from properties in the mid $400,000’s right through to two sales above the $1.5 million mark, including $1.6 million for 111 Park Street in Moonee Ponds (pictured). In fact, we recorded great sales in almost every part of our patch this week, including Airport West, Essendon, Keilor East, Moonee Ponds, Niddrie, Pascoe Vale South and Strathmore.

When you’re seeing strong bidding right across the board, in all areas and price ranges; there are a lot of reasons to feel very confident about the current market.

This is of particular importance to anyone thinking about selling in the New Year. There is no doubt that there are still numerous buyers who are yet to secure their next home, so this is a great time to make your property known to these buyers with a view to selling in January or February…or maybe even tomorrow the way things are going!
