Our first weekend of Winter auctions kicked off this week in much the same fashion that Autumn concluded, with some competitive bidding producing several outstanding sales results, even though we had to take a couple of our auctions indoors to avoid the worst of the Winter weather.

A cross-section of recent results includes:

Airport West: 22A South Road. Three bidders fought for the keys to this unusual two-bedroom townhouse situated a stone’s throw from Etzel Reserve. As a result the price was settled at a very satisfying $635,000 (pictured).

Airport West: 3/31 Clydesdale Road. Strong early interest in this striking two-bedroom townhouse around the corner from the shops on McNamara Avenue saw the SOLD sign go up more than a week before this week’s scheduled auction.

Avondale Heights: 68 Doyle Street. Potential was the word on everyone’s lips at the auction of this three-bedroom home on around 585sqm with a 15m frontage, with a competitive auction producing a pleasing result.

Keilor East: 56A Parkside Avenue. This freestanding low maintenance two bedroom home benefitted from a productive digital marketing campaign, selling for $735,000 on auction day.

Keilor East: 136 Sterling Drive. A fuss-free off-market campaign utilising our extensive database of registered buyers saw this three-bedroom home sold for $790,000 before many of the neighbours even knew it was for sale.

Strathmore: 31B First Avenue. Stylish renovations certainly added to the appeal of this single-level two bedroom home on a subdivided block zoned to Strathmore College. Productive mid-week negotiations saw the contracts inked at $764,000.

On top of these deals, we also have multiple properties under contract awaiting finalisation of the details in areas like Avondale Heights (two properties), Essendon North and Moonee Ponds (two properties).

The key message here is that if you own a property in this area and are thinking of selling, There could be enormous benefits for you in giving one of our team at Barry Plant Moonee Valley a call on 9373 0000 as your ideal buyer is probably on our books right now and ready to make their move.

Cheers,

Bill Karp
