Yes, the official end of Summer is now upon us, meaning that the traditionally active Autumn market is about to get under way. That’s good news for anyone considering selling in the next few months.

Having said that, the last few weeks of Summer have continued to produce some very positive sales results for local property owners, as this cross-section shows:

Essendon: 74 Deakin Street. This tastefully renovated three-bedroom timber home still left plenty of potential for future enhancements, so it was no surprise to see it selling prior to this week’s auction for a substantial seven-figure price.

Essendon: 17A Gilbertson Street. Productive negotiations that followed the auction of this newly completed four-bedroom home saw the SOLD sign go up within a matter of minutes of this week’s auction.

Keilor Park: 28 Fosters Road. Sitting on a sizeable corner block of just under 700sqm with additional laneway access, this three-bedroom home with an additional studio sold well before auction at $850,000.

Maribyrnong: 1/4 Hillside Crescent. This bold contemporary townhouse was sold using a quiet off-market strategy targeting our extensive database of registered buyers across the Barry Plant network.

Moonee Ponds: 13 Sydenham Street. Totally transformed from its Victorian era origins (circa 1890’s) to meet the needs of a 21st century family, this exquisite five bedroom home utilised our unique Sale by Set Date® strategy and sold well before offers were due to close.

Moonee Ponds: 59 Vine Street. The combination of a prized Moonee ponds location, city skyline views and obvious future potential proved a popular one, with a strong early offer securing the keys well before this week’s scheduled auction.

Strathmore: 8 Eldorado Street. As we mentioned a couple of weeks ago this three-bedroom home with views attracted strong interest from builders and developers as it came with plans for three townhouses. It sold prior to this week’s scheduled auction for $1.35 million.

As we look ahead to the coming Autumn there is no doubt that homeowners should be able to move ahead with their plans for a property sale with confidence. So if you’d like an accurate update on what your own property could achieve in the current market, why not give us a call this week at Barry Plant Moonee Valley on 9373 0000?
