For many people, the Easter weekend is a time to put your feet up, relax and enjoy what remains of the warmer Autumn weather before the chills of the approaching Winter begin to take effect. For several members of our team at Barry Plant Moonee Valley, however, Easter this year has been a very busy time, and not just because of Open Houses! Yes, despite the extended break, several of our team decided to conduct some Open Houses today just to make sure that our vendors didn’t miss out on potential market exposure. Interestingly, the reports so far have indicated that we saw some very strong buyer turnouts…clearly some buyers decided not to take the weekend off, even if a lot of agents did! However, several members of the team were also very busy yesterday doing their bit to raise funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. In fact, if you passed through the intersection of Sharps Road and Melrose Drive in Tullamarine yesterday, you may well have seen the people from the Uncle Bobs Club, under the leadership of our Luke O’Callaghan, collecting from passing cars throughout the day. That’s Luke and Marinella Sortino from our office in the photo, playing their part in an effort that saw the Uncle Bobs Club raise over $625,000 for this worthy cause. Well done guys! In case you’re wondering, Luke is the one with the big pink ears…which we’re hoping he’ll still be wearing when he comes back to the office on Tuesday! In closing, on behalf of all of us at Barry Plant in Essendon and Niddrie, allow me to wish you all the best for Easter. I hope you and your family have a safe, relaxing (and chocolate-flavoured) weekend. Regards, Bill Karp Director – Barry Plant Essendon & Niddrie
