Despite the challenges of the heavy rains that have impacted so many Victorians this week, both locally and further north, I am pleased to report that our team was still able to achieve several outstanding results for our vendors this week, including one sale of a classic period home in Ascot Vale that has certainly got a lot of locals talking.

Here’s a brief outline of some of our recent successes:

Airport West: 54 Clydesdale Road. Potential was the word on everyone’s lips when we took this original three-bedroom home on a generous 842sqm block to auction. The gavel fell at $970,000.

Ascot Vale: 40 The Parade. Set high on prestigious Rothwell Hill, this classic double-fronted Victorian gem (pictured) certainly raised plenty of eyebrows when an impressive sale was negotiated during the week at $3.51 million!

Keilor East: 101 Arcade Way. A striking contemporary design and impressive quality fittings and finishes added to the appeal of this outstanding town residence on the edge of the park. A successful auction campaign produced a strong seven figure sale this weekend.

Moonee Ponds: 2/132 Pascoe Vale Road. Making the most of a terrific location close to Queens Park and the vibrant Puckle Street shopping strip, this two-bedroom townhouse benefitted from a well-structured auction campaign with the keys changing hands at $548,000.

Niddrie: 90 Hotham Road. Five bidders, (including one competing online), fought it out for the keys to this near new four-bedroom, three bathroom home within walking distance of PEGS. As a result, the bidding soared past our happy vendor’s reserve before finishing at $1.35 million.

The important thing to keep in mind is that there’s still time to secure a strong Spring sale if you get the wheels in motion soon. So if you’d like an update on what your own property could achieve in the current Spring market, or you’d like some experienced advice on how to get your property ‘buyer ready’ in a timely manner, you can call the team at Barry Plant Moonee Valley this week on 9373 0000.

Best wishes,

Bill Karp
