A super week for sellers

With all the talk this week about the volume of auctions increasing, it was very pleasing to see our team achieving so many exceptional results for our clients this week. We saw multiple private sales being successfully negotiated during the week and, at the time of writing, 5 out of 6 of today’s auctions already sold with negotiations still continuing on the 6th!

In fact, the five properties sold at auction so far today achieved a combined total of more than $180,000 above the vendors’ reserve prices, which was a great result for all concerned.

Among today’s results were:

  • The 3 bedroom home at 6 Fenacre Street in Strathmore (pictured) was sold for $713,000, which was well above the vendor’s expectations. This result was particularly pleasing given that this property had been on and off the market with several agents over the past year without attracting a successful result.
  • A 3 bedroom home at 15 Lincoln Drive in Keilor East sold for $696,000.
  • Another 3 bedroom home at 8A Persica Place in Niddrie was successfully sold at auction, with the price being undisclosed at the vendor’s request.
  • A 2 bedroom townhouse at 2/14 Treadwell Road in Essendon North was sold for $622,000.
  • A 2 bedroom unit at 3/22 Windsor Avenue in Strathmore was sold prior to the auction for $415,000.

In another good sign for anyone thinking of selling in the near future, two of the properties we sold this week by private sale were actually sold straight after their first inspections…so if you were wondering about just how keen the buyers are right now, there’s your answer!
