There’s no doubt that some aspects of last week’s ‘road map’ came as a disappointment to many of the residents of City of Frankston, not the least of which were those local home owners who had made plans to sell in the early Spring market and move onto the next stage of their lives.

One of the rules that has generated a lot of discussion in the past week is the continuing restriction of physical inspections of property for sale or lease. So if you’re one of the many Melbourne residents who put their plans on hold until individual inspections are permitted, you’ll be pleased to know that whilst the initial ‘road map’ said that buyers would have to wait until October 26th to book individual inspections, we’ve heard a few whispers that it could be a bit earlier. Only time will tell.

In the meantime, as we pointed out in LAST WEEK'S UPDATE, the Barry Plant group has continued to achieve some outstanding sales without physical inspections. Indeed, if you’ve been following our social media feeds you would have seen some local success stories. But inspection-free sales aside, the big opportunity for many bayside homeowners is that this is the ideal time to get the presentation of your property ‘market-ready’.

The first step in getting your property presentation right is to look at what options will make the biggest impact on your buyers, (as well as making sure you’re not wasting time and money on things that won’t make any difference at all). Our team at Barry Plant Frankston takes a great deal of pride in assisting local homeowners to make the most of their presentation. This service allows us to use the insights we gain from working one-on-one with local buyers. So not only do we know what type of buyers your property will suit best, but which presentation changes will make the biggest difference to those buyers.

If you’re thinking of selling, it’s worth having an obligation-free chat with one of our team before you start any major redecoration or maintenance tasks. Even with the current social isolation rules, we are still able to help you remotely, allowing you to “show us through your property” via a video link using your phone or tablet. You’ll find that we will be able to make recommendations on the spot, and probably suggest a few inexpensive ways to make your home more saleable.

Another tool that you may find helpful is our downloadable booklet which includes a range of tips on preparing your home for sale. It even has a section on Feng Shui if you would like to learn more about this ancient eastern approach to making your home more appealing. If you’d like to read through this free booklet you can download it by CLICKING HERE...

So, if you’d like to have a confidential chat with one of our team about making the most of your presentation, or you’re interested in getting a Virtual Appraisal to ensure you have got your figures fully updated, you can call Barry Plant Frankston at any time on 9781 3100.
