Many roads to a strong result

There have been some important lessons for many people in Victoria that have come out of the various lockdowns we have endured over the past eighteen months or so. One of these is that whilst we’ve often had to take a different approach to move forward, it has still been possible to achieve some positive results in a range of different areas of our lives.

Yes, it’s taken determination, flexibility and sheer hard work, but a combination of all of these has provided the foundation underlying many of the strong results that our team at Barry Plant Frankston has been able to put together for our clients recently.

We were reminded of this in recent days, particularly with two strong sales that both achieved excellent results, but through entirely different methods.

On one hand, our auction of a character-filled two-bedroom duplex in Kars Street, Frankston showed what a well-planned marketing campaign can do, with competitive bidding pushing the price well beyond our happy vendor’s reserve before the gavel fell at $580,000.

On the other hand, our sale of a neat-as-a-pin three-bedroom single-level home in Robinsons Road, Frankston South (pictured) proved the value of professional post-auction negotiation. Some people make the mistake of assuming that a sale has ‘failed’ if a property is passed-in, but more often than not it is simply a sign that further negotiation is required before the best possible result is completed. That was the case with this particular property, with the SOLD sign going up a matter of days after the auction was completed.

The message here is that whilst many aspects of life are different in the current conditions, outstanding results are still entirely possible with the right approach. So if you are considering making a move in the near future, particularly with the warmer months driving even more buyers to our part of town, be sure to give us a call at Barry Plant Frankston this week on 9781 3100.

Cheers,
